One major pain point for pastors, missionaries, or teachers is presenting in a way that keeps that audience engaged, but also communicates their message to create buy in. We want to do a great job, but usually our training is in preaching, leading, or serving, not presenting.
I have listened to many presentations to raise funds or share a ministry with a group. Sometimes they are an engaging and spark the thought of ‘I want to support anything you do!’ But, more often then not, the presentation skills get in the way of the message you are trying to communicate.
Presentations by David Sparks has great info on how to tell and communicate a great story to keep your audience on the edge of their seat. Also, Sparks teaches a ton of ‘tricks of the trade’ and technical skills of how and what you need to do to make great slides.
This may be the best $10 you spend on your ministry this year.
